FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are lessons for?+

Lessons are available for students aged 8 and up, tailored to all abilities - from complete beginners to advanced players.

What happens in the first lesson?+

We'll discuss your goals, experience and musical interests, then get you started with some basic techniques and a simple beat or exercise. It's relaxed, informal and designed to make you feel comfortable from day one.

How often should I take lessons?+

Weekly lessons are recommended for steady progress - they give you enough time to practise the material without losing momentum. Limited fortnightly options are also available.

Do you offer online lessons?+

Yes, although most students prefer in-person lessons to take full advantage of our studio setup.

Do I need my own drum kit?+

Not for your lessons - we provide a full drum kit in the studio. You're welcome to practise at home on your own kit or a practice pad, and when you're ready to buy, we'll help you choose the right option for your budget.
